I was having the most perfect 1st pregnancy ever. I was calm and peaceful, practiced meditation and yoga regularly.

I developed such a strong bond with the baby, I felt her move inside me and would sing a prayer to her every night called the “Mother’s promise”. It basically is a prayer about how happy you are to be pregnant and how elated you are at the thought of your baby being born and all the love and joy you will give to your baby.

Everything was going so well, until at 31 weeks my baby was diagnosed with a series of 4 heart defects. Singular ventricle, singular atrium, pulmonary stenosis, and transposition of the great vessels. She was given no chance of survival. I was advised to terminate the pregnancy. I was told at 40 weeks she will not be born alive.

I couldn’t just give her up. So I decided to have her early instead and let nature take it’s course. Little Dhyana was born at 32 weeks on the 30th December 2013. We were not promised even a few minutes with her. All I did was pray and say thank you to God and the universe for this beautiful soul.

The Secret teachings had always worked for me and even through this darkest situation I held on to the little positive I had and managed to turn the faith.

We made it through the night. Born with only 2 chambers, 8 weeks premature, how was it possible for little Dhyana to survive. Even the doctors were amazed. She defied all the odds against her. She was surrounded by love, prayer and positive energy. “Gratitude” my prayer I believe had the greatest effect on her.

Each day I would give thanks to God and the universe for another beautiful day with my princess. We embraced the situation positively and she did not feel even for a moment that she was ill.

We went on 2 family holidays and spent every waking moment with her. I even gave up my job. Golden memories that we will forever treasure. From 0 minutes to 6 and a half really amazing months. When we are grateful for what we have miracles happen.

Positive thoughts and gratitude truly goes a long way. We were so blessed to have an Angel. I am forever grateful for the teachings of The Secret.
