The Power In Gratitude.

South AfricaI am a 30 year old female from South Africa. A mother to a 10 year old boy. I am an introvert who enjoys her own space. I was recently employed as an office administrator. I am completing my Diploma in Human Resource Management. I am a lover of life and finer things in life. I am most happy to see my mother proud of me. I am not yet where I want to be, but I thank God I am not where I used to be.
Things had not been going well for me in my career, my finances and my 3 year old relationship with my boyfriend. I recently discovered the book “The Power”. I discovered how you can turn your life around and get the things you want by simply giving gratitude.
In the midst of everything going wrong in my life, after I got retrenched from work I decided to come home to my mother’s house. My boyfriend and I had not been on good terms for 3 weeks. I went to visit a doctor because I was experiencing some pains. The doctor did a pregnancy test and it was positive. He did a scan and told me he does not see a baby in my womb, gave a letter and told me to rush to a local hospital. I needed to come to terms with the fact that I was pregnant and I did not see any emergency in the situation so I only went to the hospital the next day. After several tests I was told I had an ectopic pregnancy. It was an emergency as my tube had ruptured and I did not even know what it meant. An operation was done. In the midst of my physical and emotional pain, I kept asking myself why is everything happening all at once. Losing my job, losing a child and I was not sure about the relationship between my boyfriend and I either.
I started realising that I was given another chance to live, because I almost died. I knew God was not done with me, there was a reason I was alive. I read “The Power” and learnt about the key importance of gratitude. I started being grateful for my life and it made me feel good. I started feeling much happier and the more I was happy the more I had things to be happy about.
I had been retrenched in August. After I healed from my operation a friend of mine asked me to work for her when she was not at work herself to cover for her. I became so grateful and I would constantly give thanks to the Universe for the job. The Universe started shifting things for me to give me what I was being grateful for and feeling good about.
My friend resigned in October with immediate effect and I was now appointed permanently. My relationship with my boyfriend is now even better than it ever was before. I have been able to manifest a job without even much effort but through a lot of gratitude and feeling fantastic. I practice gratitude every day. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
