Almost exactly a year ago I watched The Secret on Netflix for the second time. The first time I was fairly young and didn’t really take in the message. However, the second time I watched The Secret it really stuck with me. I began to practice positive thinking among other techniques and started to achieve and receive everything I had been desiring. I’m not even going to try and list them all because that would take far too long.

I always wanted to share one of my stories but it was difficult to choose which message would resonate with others and bring hope to those who might read my story. However recently something occurred that caused me to believe in The Secret and The Power more than I ever have, and I knew I needed to share it here.

Back in May I read The Power. It really showed me how to apply positivity in my life in a way that I had never thought possible. After reading this book and practicing what it said, I felt happier and was attracting really great things into my life. I had a coworker who had been really negative and upset, and I knew immediately that I had to give her the book. So in June I loaned her the book and never saw it again. I didn’t think about it much, as I had already read the book and was successfully engaging in positive thinking. Every once in a while I would wonder whether she actually read it, but I would always let it go.

Then two weeks ago my best friend told me that she was miserable and unhappy. I felt horrible for her and only wished there was something that I could do. That’s when I started thinking about the book again. I thought about it so much for 48 hours, hoping that I could give it to my friend. Unfortunately my coworker that I had loaned the book to had moved between June, when I gave her the book, and October when my best friend was really in need of it.

Upon my return to the office on Monday after a full weekend of thinking about the book, my coworker came down to my office and placed something on my desk. I knew exactly what it was when I saw the bright colors land on my mahogany desk. I was speechless! I simply stared at her as she said “I’ve been meaning to give this back to you”.

What you think about matters. You can truly attract things into your life as I did with this book.
