Hello everyone. I really feel I need to share my experience with all of you. First of all, I just want to thank everyone for sharing your stories with the world. Being pretty new to The Secret and previously living a life filled with emptiness, practicing is somewhat like reinventing the wheel for me. So in those moments when I feel a bit weak, your stories are like a lighthouse for me. Thank you… thank you … thank you.

I can honestly say I have got a handle on my negative thinking and my life has changed tremendously. My heart is so full, and for once in my life I am completely happy and so incredibly thankful. It feels like a million and a half years ago that I uttered the thought, “Why does everything I touch seem to fail?” Well, my answers found me in a little book called The Secret. Anyway… here is my story.

I recently met the most amazing man who treats me like a queen. He is so romantic and lets me know every day that he wants to be with me. In any event, he went to New York for business this week and asked if I would come visit him there for a day. Six months ago, I would have been very afraid, but the new me said yes immediately.

He purchased a plane ticket for me and everything was scheduled. I am not much of a morning person, but I managed to get to the airport at 6AM to catch my flight. Mind you I printed my e-ticket the day before and was all set, except for the fact that the gate was not yet assigned, so my ticket did not include the gate number. So that morning I walked over to the check-in counter and asked the lady behind the counter for the gate number. She looked at her list and told me gate H5. I took the gate into memory and decided to reprint my ticket from the kiosk to include the gate numbers, but for some reason I never looked at it. Instead I bought a cup of coffee, went to gate H5, pulled out my book and waited for my flight. I got so into the book that I never noticed I was the only person sitting at the gate. My flight was scheduled for 6:58am, so when I looked at my watch and noticed it was 7am and I was still sitting alone I got up to ask someone for information. Looking at the flight lists I realized I was sitting at the wrong gate and that my flight had departed without me. At that time I looked at my ticket and noticed my correct gate was H6 and not H5 as told by the lady behind the counter. I immediately ran to gate H6 and told the two attendants what happened. I was devastated.

Here is where the story becomes amazing… As the attendant proceeded to put me on the next flight which would not leave Miami until 10:30am and arrive in New York till 1:30pm, I thought to myself, “I need to be on the flight that just left. I want to spend as much time with Jean as possible.” Just then another attendant walked up to me and the gentleman changing my flight details, and told us my missed flight was returning to the gate (H6), and asked that I follow her. She said the flight was on the runway about to take off when a light in the cockpit went out. The plane had to return to the gate so that the mechanics could fix the problem. Long story short, I was seated on my scheduled flight within 10 minutes and on the runway. We landed in New York on time because the pilot decided to “speed” as he put it to make up for lost time.

I know without a doubt it was The Secret once again working for me, and for that I am so very grateful.
