I’d had a few boyfriends before, but none of them ever lasted more than 3 months, and all I really wanted was a serious relationship. After reading The Secret, I wrote out a list of the things I wanted in a guy, and after a few weeks, two guys came into my life.

One of them, my ex, who I still had feelings for, and the other, a random guy I met on New Years Eve who got my number. Despite the fact I really wanted to get back with my ex, I met up with this other guy anyway. We got along so well that I somehow knew that he would be in my life for a long time, even if it were just as a friend. So many little fateful things happened, and if they hadn’t have, I never would have seen him again. I met up with him a few more times and realised that I wanted to be with him.

He asked me out a week or two later. He was everything I asked for exactly…but what I can’t believe is that my family had been looking for a house for about two years, we had never looked in his area, and after we had been going out for about two months we moved around the corner from him. It has been a year and a half, and I am still so incredibly in love with him, and if I hadn’t read The Secret, I don’t know if he would be in my life right now. I can’t be thankful enough for what this incredible book has given me.
