The Law Of Attraction Gave Me A Miracle.
Submitted by: Bea Peterson
Greenwood, IndianaI am now a retired RN. A snowbird in Florida with a home in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
All of this all happened before I read The Secret.
My mother died on May 1st, 2000. I was given her wedding ring and I wore it proudly. It was large for me so I wrapped it in yarn. I was a hairdresser at the time and it was getting wet and loose so I wrapped it in tissue and placed it in a zippered pocket of my purse to take it to be sized. As it happened, two weeks after my mother died, someone stole my purse with her ring inside. I was so devastated. How could this possibly be? I really needed that ring! It was all I had left of her.
People told me that I should just file a claim for it on my insurance. I explained that no amount of money could fill the void I was feeling, I needed the ring back. I kept a positive feeling in my heart and every day I imagined the ring back on my finger.
Days and then weeks and then months went by and there was no sign that it would return to me. My family said to me that it was not healthy to keep lying to myself about it coming back and that I should just give up and move on. But what they could not understand was that is was more than an item to me and I really wanted it back. I needed it to help heal my soul. So I continued to believe and send out positive thoughts to the Universe.
Then one day, 2 years later while I was on my way home from work, a policeman called me. He said a man and his little boy had gone out fishing and the little boy caught a purse on his line that had my driver’s license and credit cards in it. I immediately ask him if there was a ring inside it. He said that he was sorry. He just saw a lot of mold inside as the purse had deteriorated over the past two years at the bottom of a lake. There really was not anything else inside that he could see. I explained that my mother’s ring had to be inside. He said that he wished that it was but there is nothing else in there. He promised to leave it on my doorstep in an evidence bag.
I drove home knowing he must be have made a mistake and when I arrived, I saw it and then opened the purse. It was full of mold but my purse had a zippered space sewn on the inside of it one side of it. I quickly checked it and inside of that zippered pocket was my mother’s ring! It was still wrapped in that tissue which was now covered in black mold. I cried with joy knowing that the Universe had heard me. I took it to the Jeweler and he cleaned and he sized it for me. It looks just like new and I am still wearing it to this day.
Thank you, thank you, thank you to the Universe for hearing me. Thank you so much! I am very grateful!
