The Job Of My Dreams!
It was 2007 when a friend of mine showed me The Secret for the first time. I was a 23 year-old-single -mother and I worked at a shopping center. I didn’t have any hope for a better life. I used live with my parents and earned a little salary.
So I decided to buy the DVD because it was easier and faster to know the history from it rather than reading a book. It sounded like magic to me. I was so excited with all the things I saw that I decided to follow that “new” way of life.
I felt like reading the book, but I couldn’t afford it at that moment. But a close friend called Marcia had received it as a gift. I told her it was a good thing to read. I told her all I knew about The Secret, but as she had never liked to read or study or improve anything in her life, she decided to give me the book! For me, it was a wonderful idea.
I immediately started reading the book. Each page made me feel so happy and intelligent. Every word sounded like small movies on my mind and I started believing I could be a better person and have all the things I wanted in life.
Two months after that, a friend of mine visited me at the store where I worked and told me that at his company they needed a bilingual receptionist. I didn’t have any experience in that kind of job, but as I was bilingual since I was a teenager. I gave him my cv and waited for the opportunity. It came in 2 months.
I received a call from the company administrative manager. The following day I was there for the interview.
He loved me at a first sight and hired me that same week. I’ve never been so happy in a job before!!
But please, remember, people: although all the good things you want happen, never stop blessing and thanking for all the things you have. Always keep the faith and don’t forget even a second of your life to be grateful for all the things you have and all the stuff you know you will have one day. I’ve lost lots of things because I forgot to fight and believe in them. Please don’t make that mistake.
I am very, very grateful for all the good and not so good things that happen in my life. I am very grateful for all the knowledge God gives me and for all the people I’ve got around me.
