As a child, I would always stare at the sky and the wind blowing in the trees, and think about a higher being, and if I was being heard with all the praying I was doing. Now that I am turning 30, I realized that I was being heard and seen somehow. My childhood was very difficult, so I spent most of my time outside, building forts and daydreaming about the perfect family and home I would create once I was done college. I am very artistic and in first grade one of my drawings was displayed in a local gallery of a unicorn. As I got older, I began emulating my grandmother’s and Aunt’s Assateague Island paintings of wild horses on the beach, and began saving my allowance to buy a horse, but was never able to get one.
The month after I graduated college, I became pregnant and after delivering my daughter, realized our condo was a bit small for our growing family. As soon as we began looking, I found a home for sale which was way out of our price range, but was so unique and had so much potential, I really felt as if it was exactly how I imagined my dream home.
A few weeks later, a realtor that my husband is friends with told us about a foreclosure in the area we were looking, and indeed it was the SAME house that I loved. Since the bank wanted $200K less than what it was originally listed, the house was now in our price range, but there had been at least 8 other offers on the house, and we were very surprised to find out our offer was accepted. We sold our condo after 4 days on the market, in a snow storm, with 5 other offers on the table. Upon moving in, we noticed that the neighbors had a horse farm with two horses, (good for me since it turns out I am allergic to them) and the beach is less than a mile from our house.
A year after we moved in, I had a spiritual experience in the house, and within a few days, two people who did not know each other each gave me a movie to borrow, “What the Bleep Do We Know” and “The Secret”. A week later after watching them and realizing the similarities, my aunt cleaned out her attic and found my 6th grade sketch-book with a picture I drew of a brown horse with white markings, just like the one I am looking at right now.
With many more stories like this one, I am now on a quest to visit, write about, paint and draw every significant spiritual place without religious discrimination that I can while I am on Earth. In March I went to Sedona, AZ and next month, I’m celebrating my 30th birthday at the Vatican. I’m very optimistic that the world will hear my whole story one day, and many people that have lived difficult lives as well will soon be uplifted by my truths.
