Gasoline Was There As visioned
I had just set out on a 140 mile trek through Oregon, driving from a town I was not familiar with and heading to a town in Idaho where I was catching a plane. I had traveled this stretch of highway only once before and that was just the day previous. This particular stretch of highway has nothing, no gas stations, and no cell service. About 30 miles outside of the town where I began my trip, I realized I only had a 1/4 tank of gas. But I recalled yesterday seeing what I thought for sure was a gas station and little store about 40 miles ahead in the small town of Juntura. I was certain the gas station was there. At this point, I really didn’t have time to turn around and make the extra 60 miles roundtrip to obtain gas from whence I had just come and make it on time to my flight in Idaho.
As I drove, I visualized the country store with gas pumps out front. To my dismay, when I arrived in Juntura there was only a cafe (which was closed) and no gas pumps. However, to my amazement there were two gentlemen parked right next to the cafe with four, 5 gallon gas cans filling up their rig. I stopped and asked if they would sell me a bit of gas, as now I was down to 1/8 of a tank and quite certain I would not make it to the next town, which was over 40 miles. He was so kind and gave me 5 gallons and would not take any money. I told them as I drove away they were my angels and I thanked God for providing gas in Juntura. I am still amazed when I think of this event. What chances would there be for something so fortuitous to happen? It only could be that I attracted the needed gas in a small town in Oregon that does not have gasoline as a general rule. As a side note, I had only been reading The Secret for 2 days when this happened to me.
