The Bus That Didn’t Get Away.

It happened a while ago but I am still kind of fascinated by it.
I used to take the bus to get to work but I had to switch buses on the way. Every once in a while it happened that the second bus arrived and left earlier than scheduled and then I would have to wait 30 minutes longer and arrive late for work. It was very stressful for me.
One morning as soon as I got off the bus, I saw my second bus leaving the stop from across the street. Then I thought to myself “I am getting on that bus” and I even visualized it. There was no way for me to run after it because the bus was standing at a traffic light that was intersecting a highway that wasn’t safe for pedestrians.
So I headed towards the next stop, still having to cross a big street and then go up across a bridge over the whole interstate, go down and still walk quite some distance to get to the next stop. The whole time I was running/walking I thought “I am getting on that bus”.
The bus had the head start and I had to walk a longer distance than the bus had to drive, but somehow I made it just seconds before it reached the stop and I could get on it. I had attempted on other occasions outrunning the bus, but I never stood a chance. I always arriving 5 minutes behind it.
But this time the bus was kept long enough by the traffic light and the mild traffic for me to achieve the impossible.
I still don’t fully understand The Secret and I can only apply it sometimes, but when I do, it just surprises me completely.
In this case I felt so fed up by this happening to me I think I found my passion through my anger and this passion is what made me want to get on that bus. It was not long after that I started driving, so technically I never missed a bus again.
