I remember it was a little over two years ago when a colleague of mine introduced me to The Secret. Ever since, nothing was the same in my life. A few months after reading The Secret, I started practicing gratitude and visualizing everything I wanted and my life changed immensely. A 19-year-old with the world in his hands!

Right after graduating from high school I moved to Europe to study. Moving to Europe was always a big dream of mine but it was never the perfect time. Not up until August 2013. The process of moving occurred within 6 weeks time and was totally unplanned. All paper work went so smoothly. I got accepted into college and got study finance within a few weeks after deciding to move. The Universe moved people, events and circumstances for me to get everything I needed.

When I first arrived in The Netherlands, I moved into my aunt’s house. It was a great start. She taught me everything I had to know in order to succeed in the community. In May 2014 I got a job as a Sales Promoter. I was so thankful for the opportunity. 2014 was an amazing year. I welcomed it with open arms and practiced gratitude on a regular basis. Gratitude was my key to that amazing year.

As I was entering into 2015, I made my first vision board and I hung it into my room. I also put a list of things I wanted to achieve in this year. I wanted to move into my own place, get my Propaedeutic Diploma which is a “must-get” within two years of college, otherwise you’re out and get a job with more stability in which I could feel part of a team. Preferably somewhere in retail; a renowned brand to be exact. I was also in debt. Another goal was to get my bank balance above zero before the end of this year.

Then I started doing my part. I submitted several application letters in the fashion industry. In January I made an income and expenditure budget for the whole year. I knew from my study in finance what my minimum income would be, but I did not know how much I’d earn with my job as it was not on a regular basis. That didn’t stop me. I wrote down each month what I would expect from my job and I knew that I would get that and nothing less. I also raised “rent” expenditure, as I wrote that I am going to get my own apartment. As I was making the budget I knew 2015 would be the best year of my life.

The year started off perfect! I kept getting jobs from the agency to promote. Some projects were for months! And every month I got not even what I planned and projected to get, but more!! I kept practicing gratitude and I kept looking forward to the coming months as I knew I was going to move and get my Propaedeutic diploma.

During a promotion project for a company at a shopping mall I noticed that the fashion brand GUESS was looking for a Sales Person. Long story short, I got the job and I started working at GUESS per June 1st, 2015. I have the most amazing colleagues and they love me there! I am so deeply thankful for every single day. Every moment. Every gesture. And once you get yourself on that frequency you’ll see that the world is on your side. You’ll discover that we live in a friendly Universe.

Right after getting my job at GUESS I started looking for an apartment. I proclaimed to myself that I will be in my own apartment by August 1st. I also had to make sure that I would get my Propaedeutic. After long study days and an all-nighter, I managed to pass the exams I had to pass in order to attain my Propaedeutic. That was another one I could get off my “To Do List” for this year.

Mid July I reacted on some students’ apartments, and I got an invitation for an open house near the city for the 28th of July. I got so excited as I knew I was going to get the apartment that day. I started planning my moving days, things I’m going to need to buy, I starting arranging transportation to get to Ikea and I was telling every person near me that I was going to move. We were four people, four apartments, all different. There was this one apartment that everybody wanted because it was bigger than the rest. After looking at all the four studios, I handed in my papers and put the one I preferred, the biggest one, and as a first alternative and a second one. As I left the building I couldn’t stop smiling and giving thanks because I was convinced which one I was going to get.

A few hours later I got a call from the realtor telling me I was chosen for the biggest apartment!! You can imagine how I felt! The Law of Attraction didn’t fail.

And here I am, one month after, laying in my bed in my apartment. My beautiful and perfect apartment. I am exactly where I am supposed to be. I chose to write this story a few moments ago when I was editing my budget. Some months I doubled and even tripled my expected income!! But I had no month this year in which my income was less than what I wrote at the beginning of the year. And I just noticed that by the end of the year with all my expenses paid, I won’t be starting 2016 in debt. My checking account’s balance will be way above anything I had imagined for this year.

By far it has been the most amazing year of my life. I wrote down what I wanted, I pictured what I wanted, I gave thanks for what I wanted and I got what I wanted. And this is just the start of my most amazing life story. I discovered The Secret when I was 19, now I’m 21. And I know that if I could do all the above mentioned in two years, I am capable of making the world my playground.

Gratitude and love; those were my keys to the most amazing friends, the one paper I needed the most this year, the most amazing job, the most amazing apartment and the most amazing year.
