That 13 Grand.
Submitted by: Martin N.
Wolverhampton, UKI used to be skeptical about the law of attraction, passing it off as coincidence or luck, until a certain thing happened.
In July 2021, my wife bought the book, The Magic by Rhonda Byrne. She asked if I would do the daily affirmation tasks with her, so to keep her happy and excited about it, I agreed.
We both got to day 17, where you have to fill in a blank cheque to the Universe and write the amount that you wanted and what the money would be for. I wanted the money for a decent holiday, to get some dentistry work done, and to buy a decent second hand car.
Fast forward to the beginning of November 2021. Both I and my wife had not continued further with the book since day 17. Work and life got in the way and we stopped doing it in mid-November.
Then one day, out of the blue, my wife tells me very calmly that she was no longer in love with me, that she no longer found me attractive, and was glad she never had children with me.
This happened while we were renewing our mortgage. The mortgage advisor prior to my wife’s exit had asked if we would like to claim some money back from the previous lender to do any renovations, to which we both said yes.
At the end of November, my wife had completely moved out leaving me shattered and broken. But the money from the renewal had come in at 26 grand which my wife and I split 50/50. 13 grand was the exact same amount I had written on the blank Magic cheque.
I continued on with The Magic book alone, each day feeling stronger, a little more hopeful and able to cope with paying a mortgage alone. I was feeding myself and my 2 huskies alone, studying at uni, and working. That book and gratitude alone got me through the hardest time of my life.
