My first brush with The Secret was in 2010 when a colleague informed me about the existence of a book named The Secret. First I did not believe it, but when she narrated her personal experience that is when I took an interest in reading the book.

When I did read the book I did apply it to my work but somehow things didn’t materialize immediately so I left it at that and forgot about it in the course of time. Things started working in my favour in terms of my 1st promotion and that is when I believed in it completely and started sharing it with everyone in my family and with all my friends.

Now I needed my 2nd promotion that is to be appointed as a Team Leader with a very good pay package. What I did was I prepared a power point presentation (ppt.), stating as to how my interview was arranged, how easy it was, how the HR personnel called up to inform me that I have been selected for the position.

I watched this ppt. every night before I would go to sleep and felt the happiness that I would feel when I actually get the promotion. I did also maintain a gratitude list thanking for all the things I have starting with family, friends, such a good job, amazing boss, very understanding management, etc. It wasn’t easy as it took from days to months for the results to show, but I kept my faith that “I know, like I know, like I know” that my promotion is on its way and I will surely be appointed as a Team Leader.

Finally the annual appraisals arrived. By then I was so much engrossed in my work that I had completely forgotten about my wish to the UNIVERSE. All I expected was to at least get a good hike as per the hard work I had put in during the year. My manager called me in the end and handed over the appraisal letter and asked me to open it.

When I did open it I was dumbstruck with joy and excitement where it read “Respective from April 2013 you have been promoted to Team Leader Position”, and the pay package was much more than I had even expected or written in my ppt. wish list.

This is just too good to believe. But it is the truth and trust me no matter what, never ever give up on your dreams. Trust the UNIVERSE and keep working towards your goal. UNIVERSE will find a way to give you what you want in its own mysterious way.
