It was not until I watched The Secret, read the book, and listened to the audio that I realized that I have attracted the circumstances of my wonderful life.

As a teenager, I was focused on experiencing a blessed life with a loving family. There was a prayer that I had heard on the local Christian radio station about having a blessed family and having children who were happy. Growing up in a family that lacked love and displayed that lack through abuse, I remember feeling the words of that prayer in my heart.

Just a few months later, I met my husband and we were married the next year. Our relationship has defied many statistics; we were young and had few resources. Our love is strong and brings tears of joy to my eyes. I am so grateful that I never had to search for the right person to date and marry; he came right to me.

Another circumstance I attracted was a new job. When my son was born, I went through a deep depression, but through that experience, I set some goals for my life and they included going back to college and getting a new job. The job I wanted, being a library director, required a Master in Library Science degree. The goal was for me to work while allowing my husband to stay at home with the kids (at the time we both worked.)

I started back to college and within two years, I finished my bachelor’s degree (80 credit hours) while working full time. Two weeks after I finished my bachelor’s, I started on a Master’s program and completed that in one year. I had such faith that I would be able to get my desired job, I started looking for the job halfway through my Master’s degree program. My husband and I started packing the house and we arranged to sell our home.

During this time, I went on several interviews, but did not get any job offers, to my frustration. A few months before graduation, I received a call about interviewing for a job in Arkansas (at the time we lived in Michigan.) My husband and I immediately felt good about the job. For several weeks before I went for the interview, my husband envisioned the interview scenario with love and excitement. It came as no surprise to either of us when I was offered the job. The offer was wonderful – the job was the same salary as when we were both working and there was a bonus that covered our moving expenses. Plus, I was given a vehicle to drive for business purposes.

Since the move, one great thing after another has happened. For instance, we bought a house and bought it at a time that we were eligible to receive a second time home buyers credit, I have been healed from a chronic illness, and I saw a double rainbow….

All of these things happened without my realizing the power I had to attract them. I now know that these wonderful things happened because I attracted them through love.

Since learning about The Law of Attraction, I keep a notebook of all of the awesome things that happen to me on a daily basis so that when I do have times that I need to be reminded of the great life I have, I read through my list.
