I’m still trembling with joy now as I am typing this story that I will never forget in my whole existence! Today is February 23, 2014. Today is a Big Day for an inspired Mitch Albom reader, just like me, who’s living in Cebu, Philippines.

Last November, my friend Nel told me that Mitch will be coming to town on February 23 for a book signing. We need to purchase his book The First Phone Call From Heaven, for us to be able to take a picture with him and have the book signed.

It took me 3 months to go to the bookstore every weekend, just to purchase that book but unfortunately, it was always out of stock.

I was disappointed and tired of all the efforts I did just to have the book.

Valentines’ Day, February 14, my friends and I went to the mall because we’re all single and are beautiful ladies, so we dated with ourselves. We passed by a tarpaulin for Mitch Albom’s book tour and I closed my eyes for a while and visualized myself taking a picture with Mitch Albom. I visualized hugging him with much joy and happiness and I visualized going home with a very huge smile on my face because a dream had come true!

Suddenly, we passed by the bookstore and I checked out if Mitch Albom’s book was there, but there are no signs of his precious book. Then, a sales clerk asked me what book am I searching, and I told her that I’m searching for Mitch Albom’s book. She said that they don’t have one but I can make reservations because it will be delivered on the next week. The idea of making reservations never passed my mind in all those many months. I was really excited! I went to the customers service and sign up for a reservation.

On February 19, the book was finally mine!

And today, YES TODAY! I AM SO HAPPY AND THANKFUL BECAUSE I SAW MITCH ALBOM! I am happy and thankful to hear his voice! I am so grateful and inspired with his talent and his vision and all the things that he shared with a lot of people! I am very thankful to God because he gave me a chance to get closer to one of my favorite authors! I am so grateful that I have the money to buy the book! I am really blissful that this has happened:

Me; (walking towards Mitch) Hi Mitch! (Hugs, visualization came true.)

Mitch: Hi Sweetie!

Me: (while hugging him) THIS IS THE BEST 3 SECONDS OF MY LIFE!

Mitch: Hahaha you’re a funny girl!

Me: 😉

The woman in charge took a picture of us, another dream come true.

Me: Thank you Mitch! Hugs again.

Mitch: God Bless you 🙂
