I had first read The Secret some years ago. I tried a few times to accomplish my goals and bring good things in my life but unsuccessfully. And I now realize that was due to the wrong way I tried to apply The Secret. This specific period of my life was really bad for me. I had lost many friends, I was feeling depressed and I started getting low grades when I had been an excellent student at school. I started asking all the time for a better life, for making new friends, for being loved and for having better grades but nothing happened. You know why? I was really sad and not happy. I only asked for what I wanted without really believing it. Without feeling the gratitude I should have, as if I had already gotten what I wanted, without feeling good about myself. I did not understand that until lately. I was convinced that The Secret was wrong and that it did not work. But, I really had the desire to read it again for some reason.

One of my dreams was to be selected to represent my country on the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO), something that requires hard work and is extremely difficult to succeed at.

And guess what?!

I managed to be selected for this competition without having to do as much hard work as I thought it would be required to do!! Of course I read a lot, but I’m sure that I would not have managed anything without The Secret! I wrote down on paper many times, thank you for being selected for IMO, and I truly believed it. I was like 100% sure that I would be selected. So, I did exactly what The Secret said to do and I made one of my huge dreams come true!!!!
