A day or so after I read The Secret, I decided to take the advice and think about an object to try to attract into my life. I looked at my coffee table and saw a set of Mexican maracas that I think my son was playing with. So I started thinking about these maracas and experimenting with attracting them. I went off to work that morning.

I work in the office of a pre-school. At about 10:00 I am doing some computer work and one of the teachers runs into my office and said “does anyone know how to properly spell maracas?” I looked up at her not believing my ears. I said WHY? She must of thought I was crazy because of the look I gave her. Anyway so there I am looking this word up in the dictionary, so that she had the proper spelling. I was really tickled by it. It was so random and yet so perfect. So I am doing my work again really stoked up at what had happened. The next thing I knew there was a parade in the hallway of pre-schoolers lead by their teacher. Guess what they were all shaking as they walked past my office proud and smiling? Yes you guessed it they were shaking maracas. Unbelievable!

Two days later I tried to do the same experiment. I love crystals and gems so I thought of the word Ruby and tried to attract it into my life. Amazingly again the teacher brought a child into my office the same day. One of our policies is that kids are not to bring toys from home of any kind so that they do not get lost or misplaced. She said “Miss Lesa so and so did not follow the rules and he brought something from home in his backpack. Do you mind if we keep it in your office for safekeeping?” I said “Sure” and held out my hand. The young boy placed a large shiny (fake) gem in my hand. He said “Miss Lesa this is my special Ruby will you please take good care of it. ”
How can I not believe????
