My husband and I watched The Secret many years ago and with it we attracted my husband’s high paying job in construction. We were very happy but the job was difficult so he began to stress. That caused me to stress as well, on top of having the stress of a newborn. We stopped practicing The Secret and we were focussing more and more on our stress. So things started to go downhill. While the job is high paying there was not always work. Work stopped for over 2 months and we fell behind on all our bills. We could not even pay the rent. So we had to go stay with my husband’s parents and my husband worked with his dad making half the money. To make things worse, his dad is an alcoholic and would always come back from work drunk. I did not want him around my daughter like that and that caused problems.

After about a month with his parents, he finally got called back for work and we came home. That was when we decided that things had to change. We remembered The Secret and realized that we had been ungrateful for all the blessing in our life. So we decided to just be happy and give thanks for all the wonderful things in our life. While at the store one day I came across a journal that said ‘Favorite Moment Of The Day’. I started writing in it every day, writing down more and more about feeling happy and grateful for all the things that happened each day.

Ever since then things have been wonderful. Work has picked up for my husband. He even got a raise and we were able to catch up with all our bills. We no longer stress over what we can not control and instead we give thanks for what we have. Everything is so much better and I know it will keep getting better.
