VirginiaA very lucky, blessed and grateful woman! Thank You Universe!
Thank you to Rhonda, The Secret Team and The Universe! This is the second story I am submitting to you.
My boyfriend and I have been together for several years and we each owned our own homes. Last year my boyfriend moved in with me and we began working on his house to get it ready to put on the market by painting, staining decks, etc. It took a while but we finally completed everything and listed the house this Spring right before we went on vacation.
His house is very cute, but it is located in an older neighborhood and some of the houses around his were a bit run down. However, I had faith that the house would sell quickly and for around the asking price.
Before we listed the house, I decided to make a listing flyer like a real estate agent would make. On it I had a photo of the house, the basic information, a brief description of the property and the contact information of our agent, along with their photo. In addition to all of that, I had also put a huge JUST SOLD banner in the top corner. I placed this front and center on our refrigerator so we could look at it often.
We didn’t have many viewings the first week and very little traffic for the open houses but I kept thinking that we would be receiving an acceptable contract very soon. In just under two weeks we received two offers within 24 hours of each other. The first offer was not accepted but the second offer was perfect! It was very close to the asking price and the closing date and other terms were all very reasonable. The offer was accepted and we proceeded onto the inspection phase.
The inspection came back and there were some items to be fixed prior to the closing. The contractor we normally use could do all the work for us but would not be able to get to it until a few days before closing because he had a really big job ahead of us that would take a couple weeks. I kept telling our real estate agent that things would work out and the contractor would be able to get the work done earlier.
Well, what do you think? Of course, The Universe moved things around so that the contractor was able to begin and complete all the needed work a week before closing and we closed on the agreed upon date as scheduled.
That photo of the house with the JUST SOLD banner stayed on our fridge until after we received word that the closing was completed. It has since been replaced with another photo… a photo with very big smiles on our faces!
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU UNIVERSE!
