I can’t even express how grateful I am for The Secret. It has helped me in so many ways in life. That includes attracting my high school boyfriend back and even getting married now after we chose to go our separate ways. Also purchasing our first home that just happened to be brand new while both of us were working just “okay” jobs at the time of buying it. And the most recent and most amazing win ever, getting our now 4 month old baby to sleep through the night for the first time which now happens every single night!

We welcomed our first baby in June of this year. From the time I went into the hospital to be induced, it felt like I had not gotten any sleep until just this month, 4 months later. We had about a month and a half span of pretty good sleep, but I was still having to get up, sometimes numerous times, throughout the night. After her 4 month checkup we had an awful night. She was up 3 times and the third time did not go back to sleep for me for about 3 hours. By that point I had to get ready for work, on about 4 hours of broken up sleep. I was at my lowest in hopefulness that morning at work.

Then I thought, you know what? I haven’t been attracting anything I want to me, I only gripe about things that are happening that I don’t want. So I repeatedly told my husband that day that the following night would be the night she sleeps from 9 pm to 10 am the next day. That is quite a long time I know, but as she was teething and was fighting sleep, it was much needed. I told my mother-in-law that day would be better and that night she would sleep through the night. Sure as ever, after a visit for dinner with family I got her ready for bed, put her down and instantly she was asleep.

I stayed up for about another half hour just finishing some house work before going to sleep myself and I always go in and check on her prior to going to sleep myself. And what do you know? Still sound asleep. So I figured I better get my good sleep in while I can. My husband gets home from work at 11pm and usually stays up about an hour or two watching TV and relaxing. He came into bed around 2 am which woke me up. I immediately asked if he had done the first feeding and had I just slept through it? He says nope, she is sleeping perfectly still. In shock I hurry back to sleep for when it might end. Next time I woke up it was 9:15 am!!! Scared as could be I run into her room and she is sound asleep, even smiling in her sleep!!!! I had not slept like that literally since about 8 months pregnant as the last month of pregnancy was super uncomfortable for me.

I absolutely 100% contribute this to The Secret teachings and reminding me to change my attitude about things and I will get what I want! This 12 to 13 hour stretch of sleep without waking up has continued for weeks now and I could cry out of  happiness. We also now always have our happy baby as she is never tired or cranky!!!
