This story happened to me years ago when I first heard of The Secret. I’d like to share it as it was a huge experience that reminds me how well The Secret actually works and its something I always think back to when I am feeling doubtful.

I was at home one day and I suddenly turned the channel over to Oprah. They were talking about The Secret. I never usually watched Oprah but that day I did and I am so truly grateful for it. As they were talking, it all felt so true in my heart, it was like something clicked and I had remembered something that I’ve never known. It was such an indescribable and amazing feeling. I immediately went out and bought the book and read it within 24 hours.

The one thing I truly wanted at that time was to see someone from my past who I had loved but never had the chance to tell him. I hadn’t seen this guy in about 3 years or so and all I wanted was to see him and pour my heart out.

I imagined running into him, I believed I would and became excited about it. I felt relieved because I knew I would see him. I convinced myself that it is a small world and surely I could run into him somewhere, even though it seemed unlikely. I continued on with my life, telling myself that the Universe will bring us together when the time is right. And, it didn’t take very long for it to happen!

I had a sudden urge to go buy some furniture from a shop that was on the other side of the city. I asked a friend for a lift there as I wasn’t driving at the time. As I was in the car, I thought about him but I let it go as usual, and I told myself that it will happen when it happens.

Then, I look out of the window and bam! There he was, waiting at a bus stop!

I immediately jumped out of the car at the traffic lights and ran over to him. I didn’t tell him how I felt right then and there as he gave me his number as I felt I could tell him at a better time. It turns out that I got a digit wrong in the number! I tried calling and it didn’t work. I was devastated!
After seeing how well the law had just worked for me, I decided I could do it again. I would run into him again, somehow, someway, I would!

After years of not seeing him, it was fairly unlikely that I would run into him twice within a couple of months but that’s exactly what happened! I knew that when I saw him again, I had to just tell him everything, right then and there. I was in the city shopping, it was so busy and the next thing I know, I look over and I saw him walking amongst the crowd! Unbelievable!

I took that opportunity and went up to him and blurted it all out. We exchanged numbers properly this time! We got to spend time together and I got my heart’s desire. We spoke for hours upon days about everything, it was exactly what I wanted at the time.

I did end up forgetting about The Secret for a while afterward but then I always came back to it. Since that very first experience, I have attracted many great things into my life and yes, some bad too. Since the bad, I have learned that I must stick to using The Secret always! It’s not just a temporary thing, it is a way of life.

I have many more stories to share from the past and will have plenty more in the future. I just felt the urge to post my very first experience in the hope that I can inspire others. It is important to remember the first experience you consciously created because they continuously give you confirmation that it truly does work, and you’ve seen it in your own life as proof.
