I have been reading books about the Law of Attraction for years. I have always found it hard to put it into practice because to the logical part of my mind it has always seemed like a crazy thing to believe in. I bought The Secret movie, CD, and book, because I really wanted to work on changing my belief system. I have gotten the most benefit from the CDs because I am able to listen to it over and over again while in my car. It is interesting that each time I listen I hear new things being said that I didn’t notice before.

Anyway, I have had some small successes that have really surprised me:

One day I had to get something done in a timely manner. Usually whenever I go to do this project a person I know talks to me a great deal and I am not able to get it done quickly. Before I went to do the project this particular time I said to myself that she would not be there to distract me. The weird part is, she was there and she talked to me for about a minute, her phone rang, and she was busy on the phone the whole rest of the time I was there! I was able to get it done and be on my way in a timely manner! This had absolutely NEVER happened before.

Last week on “Regis and Kelly” it came time for a person they call on the phone to choose a number (for an audience member to win a prize). The choice of numbers was between 1-149. I kept thinking 19….19….19…19… and the person they called chose 19!! I just couldn’t believe it.

One time I said if The Secret was real that an acquaintance of mine would offer me a doughnut out of a package he had. He did! He was not in the room when I thought that and I did nothing to hint at it either. Again, he NEVER did anything like that before.

I did the same thing with another person and coffee. Same result, and it was not her usual behavior to do that.

Finally, my 15 year old (who has an awesome imagination!) was telling me that she could not find the key to her diary. She has the typical messy teenage girl’s room (I am not even sure she has a floor sometimes!). She said she lay on her bed, visualized picking up her key and fitting it into the lock on her diary. After visualizing she stood up, walked right over and found it right away!

It is so truly exciting. My biggest obstacles so far have been falling into the negative thinking trap, and the tendency to evaluate The Law of Attraction using the logical side of my brain, which creates doubt. I am going to keep working on it though by using it every day and reading these great stories from people.
