See, I Told You Money Always Comes Back!
Submitted by: K
CaliforniaI have known about The Secret for 8 years and live by it.
I grew up poor in the inner city. Just about everyone in my family was stingy and hoarded everything. The Secret principles taught me how to let go and have a positive attitude towards money. The hardest part was sharing and giving to others in need when it seemed that I didn’t have enough to survive on. When I became a Christian, I learned to tithe faithfully and to always give to charity, however, the church didn’t teach me to reset my mind and attitude to be effective.
Over time, I kept coming back to the money chapter and practiced the lessons in The Magic book. Now, money really does come to me easily, as long as I don’t think about the lack of it.
Recently, something happened to remind me that my attitude towards money is critical all the time. An agency was taking money out of my paycheck for over 6 months when I no longer was in the same position that had originally warranted it. I questioned this allotment when I took a new position and was told that it didn’t apply to me and the allotment should continue. A coworker advised me that this wasn’t true and I should contact HR to fix it. I did and I stopped the allotment but when I asked about getting my money back, no one could help me and I just let it go. Instead of getting really upset and seeking justice like I used to do, I just prayed for the agency and the people who don’t know what they were doing. I relayed this to a relative and proclaimed that “Just wait and see, the money will always come back to me because I’m honest and give money away all the time”.
Guess what? It did come back to me and I was shocked because it came back immediately and even more than what I calculated that I had lost. The finance department took care of it and found me to tell me the good news! That never happens, right?!
Many thanks to Rhonda and The Secret team for this knowledge and this website. I read it daily for inspiration when I get stuck. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Please don’t stop submitting all your stories out there, even if it seems small, it isn’t.
Have a great day!
