Repeat With Me!
A year ago I got fired from my previous job. I was working extremely hard for 5 months, as a journalist and a translator for a media house in Montenegro, doing stuff prescribed for other people. I was trying hard and giving my best, since that’s what I thought. You have to work hard, to show off, to be brutally honest. Those were my family’s character traits. But then, on the 15th of October I went to job, my internship was done and all I got was:”It’s a pleasure knowing someone like you.” That does not sound that bad, does it? But for the first month of being jobless, I thought, I’m 23, life is ahead of me. Something will happen. But then two months passed, then 3, 4, 5. Countless job applications, countless attempts to find anything that brings money in order not to be funded by my parents. I was in a town where I knew almost no one. I was seeing my best friends rarely, my family too. I wasn’t going out and I was not able to provide anything for myself. Having three meals a day was a dream.
Then, suddenly, somewhere in February, my friend stopped by one day and gave me “The Secret” telling me: “You know, it helped me a lot. And it really works. Maybe it can help you too. If nothing else, at least it’s an interesting book.” I was suspicious, since, as I already told you, I had thought that the only way to have success was by working very hard. But, I decided to give it a try. I read it in an hour and then I said to myself:”There’s nothing you have to lose.”
I started applying Rhonda’s teachings by drawing and writing notes in a small notebook. In March, since things were not brightening, I had drawn a 500 euros bill in my notebook and I was constantly repeating “I will get a job and my salary will be 500 euros. I don’t know how, but I will get a job and my salary will be 500 euros.”
A couple of weeks later, my best friend vibered me a photo of an ad from a big international company that was searching for a translator. I decided to apply, as I had for the previous 40 jobs, not expecting anything to happen. But, something was telling me that it was meant for me.
Two days later, I was sleeping till noon as I had every other day since I had nothing better to do. My phone rang. They asked me to come to their office for a testing and an interview. I said yes, got up, got my hair done and went there. There were 20 other people, more qualified, elder, younger, prettier, so I just did my best at the written part and tried to be nice at the interview. They said they’ll call me, whether the news is good or bad, and that they will call me after the holidays.
Easter was approaching and I decided to go home, since no one called. I made up my mind that I will not bother myself. Whatever happens, happens. Que sera-sera. Basicly, I let go. I was enjoying the time I spent with my family in my hometown. I was completely calm knowing that somehow, things will work out the best way possible. Then, on Monday, a day after Easter, I was dressing up for going out with my friend when the phone rang. They said “Hello, can you come to work tomorrow?” I said “Yes, yes, yes!!!”
I packed my stuff and went back. When I appeared at work the next morning, what do you think they told me? “Your salary is 500 euros.” !
So trust me, if you trust your gut, and with a touch of Magic Dust and a lot of faith, everything will turn out just as you want it to be. You can have everything you ever dreamed of.
Thank you to The Secret for unveiling for me The Secret of success. “You will, if you believe.”
