Before I start my story, I would like to thank Ms. Rhonda Byrne for putting The Secret out in the Universe and also to everyone who has shared their story on this website.

A friend mentioned The Secret in 2008 when I was going through a very low phase in my life but I only got to read the book in 2009. . I had just lost my father who was a pillar of support and strength for me. I realized that even before I read The Secret, I had used my spiritual, positive and grateful attitude to get through most of the difficult periods in my life. However, The Secret and a whole lot of other books on the LOA taught me so many great techniques to apply iy and I have achieved a lot of success in creating manifestations.

One practice that I really enjoy doing is the Vision Board. Early on in the year, I decided to change the tiles in my apartment. Once I took the decision, I started packing off items in the kitchen, living room, etc. I made my place ready so the work could start at anytime. I went scouting for the tiles on internet and in the stores. I was keen to have wood shaded ceramic tiles. Every time I liked a shade, the rate would be way beyond my budget. I held the vision of what I wanted in my head. Each time I walked into my home or got out of bed in the morning, I would look down and say thank you for my wood shaded tiles.

Finally after visiting many tile stores, I decided to visit one more, telling myself this was the last place I was going to look. And, it was there that I got the tiles in the shade and rate I wanted!! Everything was happening so quickly! I got a contractor who started immediately and everyone I spoke to told me that the project would take at least 2 months to finish. My apartment was completed in a month. The complete time frame was from the time I started packing in mid April to early May when I finalized the tiles. May 22nd the work started and on 19th June I had my wood shade tiled home.

The day before the renovation started, I went to each room and thanked the space for the comfort my parents and I had enjoyed for 20 years. When I was shifting things back into place, I took out my vision board and there in a corner I had pasted The Secret logo with a caption ‘publish my story’.

Today, gratitude is a way of life for me. Of course there are times when I slip up. All it takes is a daily visit to this website and reading a couple of stories to pull me back on track. I also have The Secret, The Power and The Magic books by my bedside table. I am now working on my Vision Board for 2018.

I hope my story will be of help to someone just as many of the stories here have been the beacon of light and hope during my moments of need. Thank you!
