I first watched “The Secret” back in 2008 while I was looking for DVD’s to rent from Netflix. Watching it felt familiar as well as eye opening because ever since I was little I would daydream about my future and make special wishes that came true. These manifestation made me believe I was magical. From watching the movie, I discovered I felt this way because I was using The Secret with no hesitations. I truly believed my daydreams and wishes were real.

Since then there have been times in my life where I forgot to follow the teachings. I had failed to “remember to remember” and I ran into some heavy hardships during those times. The most recent time is a couple months ago.

I was late on my rent and bills and was struggling with everything in my life. I was in a fairly new relationship that I wasn’t sure if I wanted to pursue and was gaining weight every day. I was depressed and was crying all the time.

Then one day I was looking at my phone and I just opened my “The Secret” app and read the daily teaching for that day which was about money. Then I opened “The Secret” Money app that I’ve had for years and read the 20 affirmations as well as cashed my check that it offers with items I wanted to get. I repeated that daily for weeks.

When there were times I just wanted to give up on everything, I reread the affirmations for that day and the teachings again. I really didn’t see how I was going to pay rent and my bills but I allowed myself to believe something was going to happen soon. I had to constantly remind myself that it wasn’t my job to figure out “how” it was coming to me, and I just let it go.

About 4 weeks after I started my daily routine, I was on my 401k site to look at my quarterly statement when I saw that I that there was an option to borrow from my 401k and pay myself back with interest. I was able to request an amount that covered me for a couple of months and allowed me to breath as I got back on track. Then almost exactly 6 weeks after I started to “remember to remember” the check came in the mail!

I’ve never been so grateful in my life and I felt like the gates have been opened for me. My relationship that I wasn’t sure about was better than ever. I love him more than ever. I started working out and felt the strongest I have in my life. I started getting compliments daily and I was carrying myself differently. One of the most satisfying manifestations are the great parking spaces I have been getting. I’m attracting more and more money and will always have an abundant of money coming my way. It’s hard to explain but I just feel lighter and everything is just brighter. I’m loving life and although some days I have to “remember to remember”, I allow myself to feel all the positive vibes around me. In the past I would feel like I didn’t deserve it. But after the last couple of months, I know I deserve it.

At the beginning of this newest journey, I told myself if something does happen I am going to write my story as a testament of how The Secret works, and here I am. You just have to remember to remember.
