My first love. It was 1982 and I was 18 years old. I met a man who was in the Air force. He was my first love and we had a approximately 6 month relationship. He used to write letters to me. Then one day I received the ‘Dear Dianne letter’. He said he was feeling too close to me, we needed to split up as he had lots to do before he settled down. My mother tried to tell me about her only broken heart, telling me that I will get over him. I kept a photo and his letters and read them often until I got married. I never forgot him. He popped into my mind when my life was at it’s lowest point of my marriage.

Several more years passed. We were both separated from our marriages. We spent 2 nights together and there was a short romance, but for him it was too soon after his marriage. Now another 14 years have passed. Christmas day I was invited to his sister’s and he was there,

Now is our time. After 33 years, it is so special, I can not believe we both still feel the same about each other, obviously we never got over each other. Thank you!
