Six months ago I left a job where I was overwhelmed, physically and mentally stressed and to be honest not very good at. I was so positive and kept repeating that I would have an abundance of money continually flowing into my bank account. I had just read The Magic and was practicing the gratitude exercises everyday. I told myself that I would not be in a worse situation than I was in at my job.

Well unfortunately, it didn’t work out that way. Everything started to fall apart pretty quickly. I depleted my small savings within a few months and I didn’t have any sign of a new job, not even temp work. I got pretty depressed. I’ve struggled with depression before and usually I go into a deep dark funk. I feel hopeless and sad.

But this particular time, I every time I would feel myself getting depressed, I would pull out of it. I would cry for a while and then tell myself that’s it. I started just doing little things around the house that made me happy. I also keep practicing some of the exercises from The Magic. Every morning during my prayers I would say how thankful I was for everything that I have. From time to time, when I read something bad in the news or found out something unfortunate, I found myself saying a little prayer for those going through the situation and also gave thanks that I was so blessed.

Well, one day I was pretty broke and just about to ask Hubby for some money when I received a money order from my mom. Now my mom has always lived paycheck to paycheck, and never really has extra money, so it was a total surprise to me. She sent my hubby and I a $50 money order as a wedding gift and at this point my husband and I had been married for two years. Well, that was the first time I really saw The Secret working for me.

And it just keeps working. Recently a friend called me about a movie project that a director friend of hers was doing. For three days I was paid $775. What’s more, they need to re shoot, so I’m getting another $600.

Now if that isn’t enough, here’s one more amazing example. For years I’ve been a part of these research companies that do focus groups and surveys. I get an email to qualify to do a survey about once every three years or so. Well, in the last week I have gotten about 10 emails to see if I qualify and booked two focused groups, both paying $150 for two hours of work.

Now, I’m so excited to see what else I can manifest through my faith and gratitude. I realized that although I was consistently telling myself I believed and that I was grateful, I really didn’t believe with all my heart. It wasn’t until I let go and allowed myself to really not THINK about manifesting, and try not FORCE things to happen, that they really started happening.
