Hello everyone,

I was keen on writing this story since I experienced how The Secret can go all wrong. I am pursuing a Chartered Accountancy course in India and I am very grateful to the Universe for helping me clear my intermediate exams in one go, 3 years ago. I heartily practiced The Secret and it showed results even when I was sure of failing in one particular paper.

Cut to present. I recently gave my final exams this year in May. To sum it up, I religiously practiced The Secret this time too and I thanked God and the Universe for making me clear it in one go again. I thanked for every good deed in my life. I thought positive even in the worst situations and believed that I had already cleared it. I even subscribed for emails sending congratulatory messages to myself every day, made a dummy marksheet and stuck positive quotes on my board.

So this was it, I did everything I could do to let the Universe listen to what I wanted. Only amidst all of this, I forgot to perform what I had to do on my part, to study! I did study somewhat but there were no results showing in the tests and yet I firmly believed that the Universe would do it for me even when I did not act upon my desires. All this positivity soon turned into overconfidence and blind faith without any actions from my behalf.

And on the day of result, I failed, terribly!

I was anticipating this but I hid that feeling with the blind faith I had of me passing the exams even though a few of my papers went too bad to even consider.

I am not here to imply that The Secret doesn’t work or that God and the Universe do not listen. I want to make sure the people reading this story get the correct idea of what The Secret and the law of attraction is. For The Secret to happen, do what you need to do and the rest will be taken care of by the Universe. It does listen but only when your actions are aligned with your desires.

I still thank God every day because I know everything happens for a reason and that reason is best for me. God wanted me to improve, to introspect what perception I had made of The Secret to turn my desires into action and I am working on it now.
The thing is “Do not let your actions contradict your desires”.
