Projecting Love
Submitted by: Cindy E.
Atlanta, GAI have three beautiful children, work as a teacher with young children, and am recently remarried to the kindest, most giving man I have ever met.
I was “directed” to the book and DVD through conversations with several different friends and knew it was something I had to learn more about.
Several of the ideas from the book really stood out to me, but one that really stood out was the idea about projecting love. I do think I am a pretty loving person most of the time, but there are certain situations that make me tense, angry or competitive (like Atlanta traffic). As I focus on projecting love to everyone I come in contact with, I have noticed my tension decreasing and my peace increasing.
A great example of this influence has come through my son’s soccer games. My oldest son has played travel soccer for several years and has made his varsity high school team as a freshman. Over time it has become hard for me not to tense up during his games as my competitiveness kicks in.
Since reading the book, I have purposely focused on projecting love to not only my son’s team but also to the opposing team. My desire is that they all do well and have a great time playing. I sit there and feel the love emanating from me. In the process, I am much less stressed and much more at peace with myself and the world.
The really cool part about all this is my son’s team has been winning all their games since I began doing this!
