I am 28 years old and have always looked at life in a negative way, I had boyfriends who would treat me badly however I thought it was just the way my life was supposed to be.

People had told me about The Secret but I was reluctant to read it until one day I had enough of being down in the dumps. I had a personal family issue with ill health and I wanted to change my outlook on life. I ordered the book and read it within 3 days. I was confused at first as to how it worked but I started by saving pictures in my phone of my dream car, my partner and how I longed to start a family of my own. I wrote things down on a piece of paper about how lucky I was to have even just the littlest things in life like a healthy, loving family. I just longed for a partner to share this with.

I had recently gone through a break up and I was not looking for anyone, I just wanted to enjoy life. I had money problems and was a bridesmaid for my best friend who was marrying abroad. At one point I thought that couldn’t go but I didn’t let it get me down. I just knew I would go somehow. Then in the next few weeks someone dropped out and I managed to book it!

While I was having an amazing holiday I met my partner on the same holiday. He was part of the wedding party and he was everything I had written down on my paper! I was over the moon and here I am 3 years later with a beautiful engagement ring, our very own home and a gorgeous 6 month old baby girl. I sometimes forget about The Secret but I when sit and think of all the amazing things it has brought to my life it brings a big smile to my face.

This book worked for me and I will be forever grateful! Now to write down more amazing things for our future!
