A CHANGE OF MIND

Thank you for this wonderful day
For making it perfect in every way

Thank you for giving me all I desire
When my life was balancing on a tight rope wire

My life was turned upside down
I was on my knees with my head on the ground

No where to go, no light could I see
Until my friend gave The Secret to me

I read it once and thought no way
Surely some words couldn’t save my day

I carried on in negative thought
And more and more sorrow to my life I brought

I decided then I’d had enough
I made myself re-read the book

A little light turned on inside
I felt like swimming the oceans wide

I realized I had brought it to me
Some years of turmoil and misery

I made the choice to free my soul
And get myself out of this big hole

I spun my thoughts around and around
And my life changed without a sound

Every negative that popped into my head
I changed into a positive instead

Before I knew it I was having fun
Testing the universe to see what I had won

I notice things from all around
And all the good things that can be found

Life is great and amazing for me
I can conquer a mountain or climb a tree

The universe tests me in every way
But focused and positive my mind will stay

Negative things are like a puff of smoke
No longer surrounding me making me choke

I watch them vanish into thin air
Clearing the way for a life bright and fair

I love my thoughts I love my mind
I love being me and I love being kind

I love what the universe has given to me
A brand new life full of happiness and glee

It gave me wings to spread and fly
Like a colorful butterfly up into the sky
