The Secret book was given to my mother as a present for her 49th birthday. As she was not interested in reading it I took the freedom to read it for myself. I must say it is the most interesting book I’ve ever read. It takes a while for you to get used to it but once you follow the steps and practise them every day, it becomes habitual and your life starts to elevate.
I matriculated a few years ago and did not have money to pursue tertiary studies. For the next 2 years I jumped in and out of jobs so I could support myself and family. There was a particular short course a friend of mine was partaking in and in which I was also interested in. So I went to this particular company that was offering this course to receive an application form. When I arrived there I acted like I had the R30 000 to pay for it. The lecturer had given me a walk through on what I’d be doing throughout the course. Every day I sat with my eyes closed imagining myself in those classes with a laptop and interacting with other students. Every day I’d simply say ” Thank you for the money”.
A couple of weeks later my father who had left me as a toddler, called me to say he’d like to help me out with my studies. Wow! I am now working in Sandton as a draughting/Inventor and earning over R10 000!!
Living the life I create and not the life I am given. Thank you Rhonda for raising the awareness through The Secret.
