I have been aware of The Secret for about 10 years when my friend introduced to me about the book. I had used The Secret many times and it never fails me, although, I can say that sometimes it is really hard to remove negative thoughts, especially during trying times.
Recently, my family had a very difficult situation. My daughter and I are permanent residents already but my husband is still on a tourist visa which was going to run in a week time. We had hired a lawyer one year ago at the time he arrived in the US, to process his papers for us. This lawyer sent our application to USCIS two times for an adjustment of his status but both were rejected. The lawyer took a long time to tell us what we needed to do. A month ago he told us that my husband needs to go home because his papers do not have any chance now of being adjusted here inside the US. We were so emotional as that meant we would be apart and no one would be able to take care of our daughter here since I am working. I tried to pray and pray for a miracle. I imagined every morning that my husband was already working and has his green card.
Then my friend referred me to a new lawyer. This lawyer worked really fast and hard as he was very concerned that my husband would be out of status really soon, plus the fact that our previous lawyer do not give the proper endorsement of our case. I was thinking before about how this new lawyer could fix my husband’s papers. This time I changed my thoughts. I was not going to think about it, I would let the Universe find a way. I brought a notebook with a cover that said “Believe in Miracles”. I wrote all the things I was thankful for in it every day.
Finally, my husband’s papers were approved and we are now just waiting for his work permit and soon his interview for the green card. He does not have to leave the US! It has been a year on that roller coaster ride. I am grateful for a positive result.
I owe this story to the author of The Secret, Rhonda Byrne, as she really helped a lot of people to achieve their dreams and resolve problems. I hope this story will give inspiration to all on not giving up until they reach their dreams.
