Since 2013 I had a backache as many people of working age do. As a nurse I understood my strain and I left work most times just too tired. I always associated it to strain. Over the years having been on various pain medications, the pain had become worse despite treatment. I came across The Secret at the height of my plight. I had quit my work since I could not walk straight. Light and noise had become triggers to my discomfort in general and so to move away from possible triggers and work on my physical state, I ended my contract with Diani Beach Hospital in May 2016.

I went to physiotherapy for months. I let go of all the pills for my pain and those that got me to sleep. In surrendering to the Lord and his higher purpose I gained a strong sense of the feeling of complete and total freedom from pain. I could see myself run, walk briskly and be able to help a patient safely.

Wow, it took 5 months, peace of mind and because I learned to stop dwelling on the presence of pain. I let go and let God and felt free in my mind. I’d wake up and claim freedom from pain and get myself to physiotherapy. As the year 2016 ended, I felt equipped with new strength. I applied for a job of my choosing and within 2 weeks I received a call to accept an appointment.

It could have taken forever to believe in change from within, but having found this beautiful, life transforming documentary, I know now that all along the Universe had been responding to my wish for pain to end. I resolved it through The Secret’s guidance to experience freedom from pain, and instead experience joy and peace. And now that is all that I feel.
