On July 22, 2019, I was diagnosed with lupus. I had started getting rashes a little on my nose and in between my fingers and I thought I had some sort of skin allergy. We went to a lot of doctors trying to figure out what I had and what could be done when finally I was diagnosed with Lupus. For someone who does not usually get sick or never even gets a fever, being diagnosed with a chronic disease was too much. The thing about the disease is that it cannot be cured, it can only be controlled. The other catch was that cannot let sunlight fall on you so I was photosensitive.

Telling a 19 year old girl that suddenly her life has so many restrictions was unbearable, for both me and my family. I did know about The Secret then but I did not apply it because I was busy throwing a pity party for myself. My hair started falling out and my face was covered with rashes and my joints started hurting very badly. I also had ulcers all around my mouth which meant I started eating very little, and in turn lost a lot of weight. In short, I was in hell.

I started searching about the disease on Google and other social media and found that many other people were suffering from it too, and many had been suffering from it for 7 to 10 years or more. I got scared and decided I was going to cure it then and there!

I just started envisioning myself happy and healthy with my doctor coming and telling me that I have now gone into remission and I do not need to take any steroids anymore. I kept firmly believing with all my heart that I would be cured. I started praying more. I started seeing the number 11.11 all around me and I knew that the Universe was on my side.

Slowly with every visit, the doctor started seeing substantial changes in my body. He kept reducing my steroids until one day he decided that I did not need to take my medication anymore. I was in remission! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I had a smug smile on my face that day because I knew I had manifested the entire thing. My father looked like he was ready to cry. My hair slowly grew back. It is thick and long now. My rashes faded away and I got my skin back. I gained the weight that I had lost and I could not be any healthier. All this happened in a span of one and a half years. While so many other people were suffering with lupus for more than half their lives, I was so damn grateful that I cured myself in just one and half years.
