My story starts out with my daughter wanting a green cheek conure (small parrot) which costs about $369.00 plus the cage and all its supplies would run close to $500.00. I told her that we had to try our best to focus and Believe that he is already ours and bring him home to us.

I am currently going to nursing school and work in the pet store part time where the bird was so I got to keep an eye on him when I worked. Many people came in wanting the baby bird because he is so sweet. When I asked the store manager to hold the bird I was told that they could not hold him for me, so I asked could I just pay for him instead, they said, “Sure.” I get a small discount for being an employee but that wasn’t going to help much.
