Yes! it’s finally my turn to write here!!!

I started off reading a soul-searching book that my best friend gave me as a birthday present in 2010. Towards the end of the book, it talked about a concept of “what your mind conceives, it can achieve” and referenced the book “The Secret”. At that point in time, I thought to myself, hey what a coincidence, I bought that book months ago (thinking the cover looked interesting)… so I gave the book a shot. And guess what, it changed my life immediately.

I started practicing the Law of Attraction. Every morning, the moment my eyes opened, I said to myself “I am love, I have unwavering faith, and I am going to find my dream job today” (I am a fresh grad looking for a job). I thought hard about what I wanted… I wanted an HR executive position in a hospital. I want to be able to help employees grow with the company and the list goes on…

One night, just a few days from the first time I discovered the LOA, I got a call for an ad-hoc job in an IT event (I thought, wow, that was fast, although it’s not the job I wanted, but heck, at least I’m earning). I went for it and continued saying my prayers every morning… One day during one ad-hoc event, I got a call from my agent asking me to go down for an interview at the Chanel Regional office (well, I was thrilled and despite knowing it’s not what I wanted, I gave it a try)… I didnt get it, but I told myself it’s ok.

And shortly after that, I got a call from a local hospital asking me for an interview as an HR executive… NOW, I was exhilarated!!! The thing is everyone knows the hospitals and public sectors take at least a month before informing you that you are shortlisted for interviews, and I barely applied a week ago!!! I went for the interview… it went really well and my interviewer, the HR manager told me she has a younger sister, 10 years younger than she, and reading the same course as me! (Our course is a pretty niche one and the cohort is small so everyones basically knows one another) Turns out her sister was my senior!

To cut the long story short, I waited for 3 weeks, visualizing every night of the call… and I JUST GOT THE CALL AN HOUR AGO!!! It went almost the way I visualized it!!! As I’m writing this, I am determined to let everyone I love know about this book, cos it is simply amazing! Thank you Rhonda for sharing The Secret with the world!!!

P.S. There were times I really felt upset and frustrated during the 3 weeks, but I pushed all the negative thoughts away and occupied myself with things I love to do, I read The Secret stories to keep myself in faith and there was this story I came across that I think will help a lot of people out there too…

All of you out there, DON’T EVER GIVE UP!!!!!! UNWAVERING FAITH COME ON!!! (I know you must be smiling now, keep it there!!!
