I started following The Secret almost 3 years back. I had heard about the book, but just forgot about it. Months later, I got a brochure of a library that rented books, and one of the books they promoted was The Secret, which compelled me to read the book.

Since the day I read, it, life became magical. I tried small things, like wishing for a note of appreciation from my boss, and it happened. I then wished for the kind of jobs I wanted and I ended up with 3 such jobs in different stages of my career within a span of 2.5 years. I got what I wished for my parents, bought my car and there are numerous other such things.

One incident that recently happened was expecting my past love interest to come back. Though he had hurt me and committed many of mistakes, I still wanted him back. So, I set a date for it. I used to write about our meeting in my journal and visualized stuff with him like exploring my city together, cooking for him, etc. I used gratitude and love to attract him back in my life. I did that for about 15 days. But in the meanwhile, I also felt maybe he was not good enough for me. So, I just gave up on him. However, I always wished him well, and never thought bad of him.

And to my surprise, he emailed on the exact same date as I had on mind. It was just that I no longer wanted him, so I politely denied.

This event was one of the most surprising things for me, making my belief all the more intense. I now know that I can even fix a timeline to receive all that I want.

Sometimes, it is important to give up rationality and logic, as the more you think, the more you attract negativity. Your mind says that achieving XYZ is impossible, but then you got to have faith.
