I first learned about The Secret about two years ago. I’ve tried using it a few times, but have never really gotten it to work properly. However, three days ago something happened.

I need to go back 1.5 years ago, as this is when my story begins. I met a man and it was love at first sight. We were together almost every day, and when we were not together, we talked on the phone or via texting. Everything was wonderful, and I was happy. But after a few months, the relationship began to take a negative turn. He began to withdraw and said to me that he was not ready for a relationship. My heart was shattered, and I cried for days. At the same time, I knew that this was not the end of our relationship. Two weeks later, he contacted me again and told me that he wanted us to continue meeting each other, but that we should take it slow. This was in April of last year. After that, I could not focus on the positives in our relationship, and I thought he was never going to be my boyfriend. The negative feelings increased with time, and finally, it was as if it ate me up inside. I was sure he was going to dump me for another girl since I thought that I was not good enough for him. While I had all these negative thoughts, I also knew that we belonged together. Our relationship continued until April of this year, but we were still not in a dating relationship.

In late April, he dumped me. In May, I learned that he was in a dating relationship with another girl. I was heartbroken, but I denied myself crying over him. I decided to continue my life as if he had never existed. During the summer, I stayed away from men. I needed to get back to myself and decide what I really wanted with my life.

These last two weeks, I started to think that I am now ready for a new relationship and that, this time, I’m going into a real relationship with a man who really loves me. I found a Post-it note that I had hung on the refrigerator. On the note, I wrote down what I want most in life right now. I wrote it just as keywords such as a free double bed, a free Audi A3, working as a nurse in the ambulance, and a dream relationship.

Oh, guess what?! Suddenly, my father found out that he was going to buy me a new bed because he was upset that I did not sleep well enough in the bed I had. He bought me a big double bed! I was surprised that it worked so fast!

Now back to what I really want to share with you. Three days ago, I stood in my living room one evening and watched the full moon. I was imagining and thinking about my dream man when it suddenly swept over me like a massive wave. It was as if a voice said to me, “But you have already found him. You just have to have faith that you are meant for each other.” My heart was filled with love, and it was like it exploded out of love all around me. All that I had repressed after my “ex” dumped me came back, but I was happy, and I felt only love for him. My desire to get him back was as strong as it ever had been before. Suddenly I could see the future I will have with him, and the picture was so incredibly clear.

The day after all this, I sat on the couch and watched movies with two friends. Suddenly, I received a text message on my mobile phone. You will not guess who it was from! It was from my “ex”. I have not spoken or heard from him since he dumped me in late April. He wondered how I was doing and if I had found someone new. We texted for a while, and I realized then that the law of attraction really works. It was absolutely amazing! I hope and know that with time, we will get back together, and this time, he’s going to be my boyfriend, and we will have a future together.
