Hello everyone,

I first read The Secret about two years ago, and bought the DVD too. I loved it from the outset, and my first success story was with parking spaces. It’s great fun knowing you’re always going to find one in the place you want. One thing I do many times a day is thank God and The Universe for all of my blessings. I read the stories on the website daily and they fill me full of inspiration. I am always sad when I come to the end of that day’s stories and would always like to read more.

Last Friday I just finished reading those great stories when it was time to head off from work, so I decided I was going to put this thing to the test. I headed off from work at 3.30pm to start a two hour long journey to go spend the weekend with my fiance. Now, the route I take involves two very busy areas – one is a street in Edinburgh which is notorious for long queues of traffic – and every time I use it I have to wait for a very long time to get to the other end. A combination of red lights and nose to tail traffic makes the going very slow indeed. After that I go onto the main motorway which links Edinburgh and Glasgow, and once I reach Glasgow I am usually in a traffic queue which spans miles. This is ALWAYS the case with both roads – and there is never an exception, especially at that time of day, and especially on a Friday.

Well, as soon as I reached that first road in Edinburgh I started thanking God and the Universe for green lights and a clear road. I had the radio on and I was “rapping” in time to the music: “Thank you God for the green lights, thank you God for the clear road”. I just kept singing and thanking. I’m sure you all know the result – I got straight along the first road with no queues at all and mostly all green lights (this was a first EVER).

When I reached the Glasgow end of the motorway I started my thanking once again. No rapping this time, just pure honest-to-goodness thanking. Guess what? Yes, you’re right. I sailed through; no long queues, no backlogs, no frustration. Fantastic. I totally changed my attitude towards those roads and it paid off.

The Secret really works and now I just have to see if I can make it work for me all the time. It’s no fault of The Secret if I don’t, that’s all down to me.
