My boyfriend and I have been dating for nearly 5 years now. We were high school sweethearts…I was 18 and he was only 16 when we started.

Our relationship has been a roller coaster ride in those years. We have been through al ot of ups and downs, but for whatever reason, the downs are what we seem to remember the most a lot of times.

I was actually introduced to The Secret by him. At first, I just listened to it and watched it so that he would stop asking me and bothering me about it. Then it hit me. I purchased the audiobook and started listening to it every day and really absorbed what it said. Our relationship at that time was going through a lot of trouble and we almost lost each other.

I used The Secret to save our relationship. I stayed positive about us and we were probably the happiest couple at that time. But unfortunately, it did not last.

I started doubting and hesitating again, until I lost my faith in The Secret, and it immediately affected our relationship – that we have already decided to just break it off because we felt like maybe we just really weren’t meant to be.

Currently, we are talking to each other, but we’re not officially dating anymore. It kills me knowing that I’ve been with this man for almost 5 years now. I’ve attempted to ask him to get back together to work our relationship out, but he is very confused at this moment, and said he would have to think about it. I’m just thankful that he’s at least still considering us, and not completely giving up.

Last night, I was thinking of reasons why I fell down again and where I possibly went wrong. I realized it was because once I got what I wanted, I stopped thinking about The Secret….kind of like when you pray for something and He gives it to you, you never take a moment to thank Him.

So this morning while I was driving to work, I decided to start listening to The Secret again. It felt great once again. This time, I told myself that I will do whatever it takes to get back the relationship we had, and add so much more positive things to it, and leave out all the negative ones. I believe it will happen. And once it does, I will continue to apply The Secret in all aspects of my life, and will be thankful for all the happiness and joy I receive.

I love you Taj, and without a doubt, I know we’re meant to be. No more roller coaster ride for us baby…this time, we will stay on top the whole time!
