I like this story because even though it’s only one among many manifestations, I believe it’s a solid illustration of how the Universe works.

All of my shoes have been falling apart and I thought it would be a good opportunity to see the Law of Attraction at work in manifesting a pair of new shoes. I had total confidence it would work. I said, “I need a pair for free or very cheap.” I visualized trying on a new pair for about two weeks. I wasn’t specific of the exact brand, I just imagined the feeling of new shoes. I also knew that if I intended on manifesting them, the situation would have to come up in conversation soon.

I was having a conversation with a couple people and I brought up the topic of my worn-out shoes, pointing to the rips and holes. One of the girls said, “If you will draw my portrait I will not only give you the money for a new pair of shoes.” Not only that but it was also enough money to rent a tuxedo I needed for a wedding I was going to be in. This was great because I love drawing and painting. The twist here is that she had asked about two months earlier for a portrait, but I had turned the project down because I had been busy working on other paintings. If I hadn’t turned it down, this circumstance would never have come up.

When it came time to go buy the shoes, I went into the store and got the pair I needed, then the cashier said, “You can get another pair half-off with this purchase.” I looked around and found another pair of shoes I had been looking for since about the age of fifteen! I was stunned. I had never seen them in stores before. They only cost $10.

So not only did I get a pair of shoes in exchange for something I love to do, but I also got a second pair for very cheap. It’s good to see that an intention can create these perfect circumstances for me, all involving things that I love.
