Thank you!!!! Thank you Rhonda and The Secret team for opening the vision and dream of my new life. I have to apologize for the length of my story but every section is important in our lives.

It started seven years ago while I was visiting my parents. I was 36, in a job leading nowhere, unhappy and planning on committing suicide when I got back to my home. Something told me that I should go and rent a movie because I planned “everything” for the Sunday. I went to the DVD store and nothing caught my eye but as I walked out I saw this blackish cover with the red seal on it. I thought this might be interesting just to kill time until the next day. I could never imagine that this would change my life within a week.

I got a call from an old friend who said she knew someone that she wants to introduce me to. Needless to say a few weeks later I met my soulmate and best friend. I told her about The Secret and we decided to watch it together but the DVD store did not have any record of the movie ever being in the store. So I bought one.

Three months later we got engaged and eight months after that we got married. We visualized this amazing, fun wedding and we said we only wanted to pay R40 000. But our dream was a wedding that would cost four times that. Ask. Believe. Receive!!!! We got our fairy tale wedding for R40 000 including a room in a fancy hotel overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in Cape Town and a two week long honeymoon in Knysna. Our future was set and we were living our dreams. Until I started getting ill.

I gained almost a 100 kg in a year and moisture was seeping from my skin. For more than two years I could not share a bed with my wife, I was sit-sleeping on the couch because I could not breath. One night in hospital I prayed to God and the Universe and said this is not what I wanted for me and my wife and that it would change immediately.

It did!!! I got better from basically lying on my death bed. Later that year my condition lead to a business opportunity which we grabbed with both hands. But our vision was not set in stone. I will get back to this. I started reading my Bible again and noticed that everything The Secret teaches is also written in The Bible.

In 2015 we realised that due to my illness we would not be able to have children. In May 2015 we enquired about adoption but we were to “old” according to the adoption agencies. In August 2015, after the most depressing week of our lives, we got a call to ask if we would be interested in adopting a 2 year old boy!!!!! We are so blessed with our little boy!!!!

Financially we have taken a turn as well. After struggling during the time I was ill we now are finally on our way to our financial dreams again!

Now I want to win the Powerball jackpot in South Africa and this will happen and soon! I will let you know when that happens. We want to buy a piece of land next to the ocean and build some self-catering apartments to rent out while living our dream sipping cocktails looking out over the waves crashing in front of us while the sun is setting, to end another amazing day. It is not always easy staying on track when the world is trying to get you down but you can fight it and you can get where you want to be and have what you want.
