I watched a few scenes of The Secret in high school a few years back in a religion class, but I never really “watched” it. I saw it on Netflix and decided to watch the whole thing. When I did my mind was blown. It all made sense! Perfect sense.
I decided to test the secret. I thought of something that I really wanted and something that I knew was not entirely impossible to receive, which was a new car.
My old car was a 1986 Nissan 300ZX that had broken down on the freeway at 5 am one morning, an hour away from my school. I decided to put this to the test. I looked online for a car that I really wanted, something that was not too flashy, but also something that I would look good in. I decided to go for a white Honda Accord Coupe, 2009 or newer, because I liked the model. I fell in love with this white 2009 with creme leather seats. Everyday I looked at pictures of this car. I imagined myself already having it, driving it, and feeling how I would feel once I got it. A few weeks went by and nothing happened.
One day an old friend messaged me on Facebook asking me what I was doing. I said I was looking at a car I wanted really badly. Suddenly I had a thought. My uncle works for Honda. My friend said well theres your ticket. Call your uncle, trade in your old car, and ask your uncle to hook you up with the car that you want. Having never thought about it before, that was exactly what I did. To my surprise, my uncle said he would be more than happy to help me, to come in the next day, and we’ll pick out a car. He even said if you need help with payments I’ll help you. I was in shock. The thing is, I don’t have a lot of money. My parents were paying for my college education and I didn’t have a job either. But to my surprise when I told my mom I wanted a new car, my mom and dad said they would split the payments! Shocker!!!
When I went to the Honda dealership, there it was. A certified pre-owned white 2009 Honda Accord Coupe, with creme leather seats, that looked brand new and had barely any miles on it. Exactly how I wanted it, but even better. I couldn’t believe it, and within 2-3 weeks, the papers were signed and the car was mine.
It took me 2 months to finally get my car, but I did it all through The Secret. It really does work!
