NEC Be Gone!
Submitted by: Lee
MalaysiaMother of a beautiful and strong baby girl.
Hi everyone, i submitted a story here last year about how I got pregnant using The Secret.
I had just delivered my baby girl and she was only 34 weeks gestational age. I started leaking fluid at 32 weeks and the doctor wanted to try to keep her in until she was at least 34 weeks gestation. So I was bedridden for 2 weeks in the hospital. I prayed and hoped that she would stay in me for 2 more weeks so that she would be able to grow healthily and stronger.
My prayers were answered. Two weeks flew by and it was time for my induction. Delivery went well and smoothly but the 2nd day of her birth, she was diagnosed with NEC which is a nasty bacteria that attacks her intestines. She was on antibiotics and had to be fasting for a week to clear her gut. It was so devastating to see your baby with so many tubes and lines in her. I use The Secret every night and day giving gratitude for her perfect health. I even talked to her and asked her to fight from within. There were days when I cried my lungs out but I always came back telling myself she is strong and powerful.
On her 4th day the doctor told me her tummy was still bloated and they needed to perform surgery before one of the infected areas ruptured. They also might need to remove part of her intestine if it was bad. If it was just slightly infected, they were going to just clean it. My heart just sank to the bottom of the ocean. I quickly came here to The Secret website and read stories for motivation and hope. I found 10 things I was grateful for. I keep repeating my affirmation “The infection disappeared. She has healthy and perfect intestines and is healing from within.”
She went into the surgery theater in the afternoon. After one long, excruciating hour, the doctor came out and told us the good news. The surgery went well and they only needed to clean her intestines.
Five days after her surgery the doctor said she had made a very quick recovery and can be taken out of the NICU. I continued giving my gratitude and repeating a new affirmation “We are going home in 5 more days.”.
It was a long battle for us but after being in the hospital for more than a month, my little family of 3 came home happily! This whole ordeal has taught me how to have unwavering faith and be strong. Just leave it to the Universe. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
