Ten short years ago my life was in shambles. I was in my early 30’s and had taken over a family business that I had completely collapsed! I was young and naive and didn’t know when to ask for help or advice. After two years of running it, I had to throw in the keys and walk away.

With $100,000 in soaring debts and exhausted from working 3 jobs to make ends meet, my life quickly spiraled out of control. I was nearly bankrupt, suicidal and my new marriage was on the brink of ending. I woke up every day wondering how it all turned so bad, so fast.

One day I attempted to take my life by driving over a bridge. Then, as if by some higher power, I changed my mind as I was seconds away from the guard rail. On that very day, my mother handed me the movie “The Secret” and my life forever changed! As I watched it I wept. I instantly came to realize that “I” had created all the negative in my life and if “I” created all of the bad, then I was also capable of creating all of the good.

I had just started selling real estate at that time so I decided to set a goal of $100,000 for my first year, as I was inspired by Jack Canfield’s story. Also, it was the exact amount of my debt. At the end of the year, I came out just shy of this goal, and just like Jack, I thought “Hey, this stuff really works!”

From that point on I watched and rewatched “The Secret” dozens of times and started studying and learning everything I could about the law of attraction. I listened and read all of Rhonda’s books over and over and continued to set large goals and conquer them one by one. I started teaching the practice to my friends, family, and team members and also watched as their lives transformed.

Fast forward ten years and I now live the life most people only dream of! I did over 125 transactions and grossed a million dollars in 2017. I live in a large stunning home with 80 acres and a resort like back yard! The very same house I drove by 100’s of times only wishing I could win the lottery and afford it. We have a beautiful cottage and take several luxury, first class vacations a year. I have an amazing marriage and a beautiful son and we are all healthy and happy. We are surrounded by a wonderful group of friends and have a great work life balance. And it is all because of “The Secret”!

My ambitions did not end there. I now run a successful coaching company as well as selling real estate and have the luxury of teaching and inspiring others to create the life of their dreams! I live every single day in immense gratitude. When my eyes open each morning I show gratitude for waking up, for the clean water I can bathe in and brush my teeth with, for having feet to put socks on, for the food in my cupboards, to be able to see in color, and the list goes on.

For anyone who is struggling, just know that the law of attraction does indeed work. There are millions of stories that prove it to be true. Learn it, study it and practice it! It gets easier over time. Don’t worry about how you’re going to get to your goals, just start! As for my story, I can’t thank Rhonda Byrne enough for what she has done for me.
