My Way Of Applying The Secret.
Submitted by: C P
KoreaA 16 year old girl.
It was about a year and a half ago when I watched The Secret movie for the first time. I was full of hope for the moment, but I soon forgot about it, busy with school work and homework. Mom always told me about how I did not seem to have enough time to study and how much more I should study to keep up with the other kids. Sure enough, even though I stayed up until 1 or 2 in the morning every day, I couldn’t finish all my homework and projects. I got stressed out and started to think, “I’m just too stupid to keep up with schoolwork.”
The next year was a total disaster. Mom and Dad fought hard on a daily basis. I had to cry and yell at my parents, telling them I would kill myself if they didn’t stop fighting. I used to get all A’s in 8th grade, but my grades literally plummeted and I started to get C’s and D’s. I suffered from severe skin trouble that came out of nowhere for about six months. I felt left out and alone at school, even though my friends never intended to zone me out. I fought with my best friend, who has been friends with me for almost ten years.
I applied for an International high school, which is a special high school with better teachers, environments, and special curriculums. Students who want to go to those high schools should have good academic grades and pass the interview. That year, the competition rate was higher than ever. Of course, I didn’t get in when all the other students who applied for the foreign language high school were accepted.
So, basically, I felt unhappy and depressed about every part of my life. Then I remembered The Secret. I watched the movie again and got inspired. At first, I didn’t know how to apply The Secret to harness the law of attraction. I tried to visualize what I wanted, but the process did not feel fun, and I was not even sure if I really wanted this thing I was thinking of.
So I decided to attract The Secret book. I also wanted The Magic. Those were two solid things I wanted, and I was able to visualize those books coming to my home in a delivery box. I visualized my dad putting orders on the internet. I wasn’t actually on good terms with my dad at the moment, but when I told my dad I needed the book, my dad bought me The Secret, and also he bought me The Magic as well!
Then, I started following the steps in The Magic. I said thank you for ten things I was grateful for every morning. And before I went to bed, I used the gratitude rock. I also visualized my dream life before I went to bed so that my life with everything I wanted would play inside my head like a movie.
It was not easy at first. It all felt like a chore, and after visualizing what I wanted, I found myself visualizing myself being disappointed about how my visualization did not come true. So I tried hard to change that part, and I started to attract small but good things slowly.
On New Year’s Day, I received a text message from a guy I had a crush on saying, “Happy New Year, and have a nice day!”. I was so surprised because, in fact, I hadn’t been receiving texts from any of my friends, and I thought I was not that close to him. I mean, we did say hi to each other in school, but that was it. We never had more conversation. Well, this text message lit me up that day, and I started to have confidence. I started to wake up earlier, so now I am able to exercise every morning at the fitness center. My skin got clean and flawless, and my face is actually changing!! I am literally getting prettier! My looks were changing, and friends started to call and text me. I have lots of time even when I get lots of homework done. Everything is better, and with The Secret, I will do my best to live my dream life.
