I have been homeschooled practically my whole life. I am 17 now. When I started first grade at age 6, my anxiety and panic disorders became too much to handle, so from then on my mom homeschooled me. It was such a wonderful experience and it saved my life.

Every year she’d ask me if I wanted to keep homeschooling or go back to public school, and I’d always say homeschool. One year, when I was just about to turn 14, my mom asked me that very same question. For the months leading up to this, I had been craving a boyfriend. Someone not just to date but to share my life with. I wanted my soul mate. I know it sounds crazy, meeting your soulmate in your early teen years, but I was convinced.

So I started my freshman year of high school and I met him two weeks later. It took us a year of heartache from different relationships to finally be brought together, but eventually, we started officially dating.

We have already celebrated our two year anniversary! Our relationship is long-distance. We met through a mutual friend and my boyfriend lives 60 miles from my house. But we love each other so much that we made it work. We’re hoping to move in together after we graduate high school!!
