First of all I’d like to say a big huge thank you to all the people who have put their stories on this site. These stories have brought me so much joy and hope and have kept me inspired. Thank you. Then I’d like to say a big thank you to Rhonda and everyone else on The Secret and The Power team. You have inspired and changed so many lives for the better. May your lives be filled with happiness and joy, thank you.

A few months ago I wrote a story on this site about a few of the small things that had happened that keep me believing in the law of attraction. These were just every day things that made me smile and increase my faith that the law of attraction works. But I’d never really been able to manifest anything big or any of my true desires. Until now.

Like many people who have written on this site, I haven’t always been that lucky in love and I wanted that to change. I wanted to find someone who was just right for me, someone I could love and would love me back.

I followed the teaching of The Secret, I made my list of all the things I was looking for and played little games that help me believe that he was already in my life, things like day dreaming about the conversation we would have, imagining saying ‘good night, I love you’ to them before I went to sleep, and having them saying it back. I painted a picture of me and my boy on my vision board, which I put on the wall opposite my bed so I can see it when I first wake up. I wrote in my gratitude book and thanked the universe for my long term loving committed relationship with some one who was perfect for me.

Time went by and I’d go though phases of being really committed to my goal and other times when I’d forget all about it and other times when doubt would sneak in and I’d think it wasn’t going to happen.

So about a year after I first read The Secret a chain of events happened that caused me to meet a new group of people. Everything happened really easily and each event lead onto the next and I kept having this feeling that these events would lead to something but didn’t know what.

In this new group of friends there was a guy that I thought was quite attractive. We talked and flirted a bit and there was a definite spark between us. At that point I got a little scared and convinced myself that this guy wasn’t the one and that I was better off on my own. So I lost touch with him for a while. When I stopped being scared and started to believe again I got a message from this guy out of the blue saying that he liked me and that he wanted to get to know me better. I was really happy but I still wasn’t sure that he was the guy for me or that I was ready. The universe responded to my feeling and I didn’t hear anything from him for a few weeks. I thought this confirmed that he wasn’t for me and continued believe that I was in a long-term relationship with the man I loved. Then a couple of girls at work set me up on a blind date with another guy. We talked on the phone and arranged to meet, but I couldn’t stop thinking about the first guy.

One night after a really busy shift at work I was really tired and a bit sad. I don’t know what inspired me but I picked up my phone and texted the first guy, without even really thinking about it. That was the beginning of it. He came over that weekend and a couple of days later we had a talk and he explained why he didn’t keep in touch with me and said that he really liked me and wanted to start dating. So, we started dating and we’ve been together ever since.

I did meet up with my blind date and explained the situation and he was really cool about it and told me to follow my heart. So that’s what I’ve done.

Now that we’ve been together a while, I see that he’s everything I wanted and matches everything I had on my list and so much more. My friends keep commenting on how much I’m smiling and how happy I am. I feel so grateful for my life and feel so lucky and blessed. This has shown me that The Secret really works and has increased my faith in the law of attraction and my own power to manifest things in my life.
